We are a small independent practice and provide only the highest standards of quality care. Practice principal Gary Dorman has been at the practice since 1991 and since taking over the running of the practice in 1998, has constantly been improving and updating all aspects of the practice to provide the highest quality Dentistry.

Gary joined the practice in 1991 and took over as principal/owner of the practice in 1998. He enjoys providing general dentistry for the community and has also been successful providing the In-Line Clear Removable Brace System to treat crowded and misaligned teeth in adults for several years, having been so impressed after he treated himself with the system. He also gives talks to dentists interested in using the system in General Dentistry. It has proved to be both a quicker and more cost-effective form of treatment to alternative clear brace systems.
Our associate dentists all come with several years experience in General Dentistry but also have their own special interests.
Heidi Ells BDS
Dentist

Heidi graduated in Dentistry in 2001 from Glasgow University with Merit. Since then she has developed a particular interest in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry and completed several advanced restorative courses. Her most recent course was an advanced endodontic course building on her wealth of experience and high level of quality care provided to her patients. She is also qualified to provide orthodontic treatment in In-Line clear brace systems.
Heidi prides herself on her ability to provide the highest level of care to her patients whilst delivering an experience that is as relaxing and pain free as possible.
Milan Majithia BDS (BRIS) MJDF RCS (ENG) PGCERT DENT ED
Dentist

Milan joined our team in 2018 and is a general dentist who has a particular interest in managing nervous patients who have had bad experiences in the past. Milan’s main interests are root canal, oral surgery and building up worn down teeth using composite bonding.
He has worked at Kings College Dental Hospital under supervision of consultants who are at the top of their game. He qualified in providing anti-wrinkle treatments and is an accredited skin care practitioner. He uses the ZO skin care regime that is used by Hollywood celebrities. He has been providing these treatments to patients at the practice with excellent results. Come and see him for a consultation and see what he can do for you.
Outside of work his main interest is playing cricket and spending time with his family.
Sandeep Sagoo BDS (HONS), BSC (HONS)
Dentist

Sandeep graduated from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2008 with Honours; she passed with distinction and won several prizes during her time there. She also has a degree in Biomedical Science from KCL. While at university, Sandeep did voluntary work at an orphanage in Vietnam, providing essential dental care for children. Before joining Hartley Dental Practice in 2022, Sandeep worked in dental practices in Winchester, London and Kent, and at the out-of-hours Greenwich and Bexley emergency dental service. She also worked as a senior house officer in the oral and maxillofacial surgery in Southampton.
Sandeep enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She has a gentle and calm approach and has a reputation for providing pain-free dental care. She has managed to build the confidence of many nervous patients so much, that many of them now actually enjoy coming to see her. She strongly believes in prevention and strives to educate and empower her patients about their oral health. She provides a vast range of treatments, including aesthetic and minimally invasive restorations, the Sleep Clenching Inhibitor for grinding (which can help with improving sleep quality, headaches and migraines), straightening with InvisalignGo, whitening and other cosmetic treatments. Sandeep regularly attends courses to further her development and to keep up to date with all aspects of dentistry.
Outside of work, Sandeep enjoys painting and drawing. She loves to travel and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
Matthew J Smith BDS, MB BS, FDS RCS (ENG), FICOI
Implantologist

Matthew has been placing implants for over 25 years. He is both a qualified dental surgeon and a medical doctor, having studied at Guy’s Hospital and King’s College London. He holds postgraduate Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Matthew works part-time at Guy’s Hospital and in dental practice providing an implant service.
Matthew has two teenage boys and enjoys watching them play rugby and jujitsu. He likes to keep fit, enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and travel.
Trudy Parker E.D.H.
Hygienist

Trudy has been a hygienist at the practice since qualifying at Kings College Hospital London in 1996 and spreads her week between here and another private practice. Always cheerful and enthusiastic she assists patients to improve their oral health from gum disease to tooth decay and prides herself on giving thorough treatment whilst making the experience as pleasant as possible with great results.
Stephanie Freeman Dip H+T
Hygienist/Therapist

Stephanie graduated as Dental Hygienist and Therapist from Kings College in 2010. She has worked in a number of private dental clinics in her 20 years within the dental profession, as well as running an oral surgery assessment clinic routinely taking radiographs. She has a particular passion in educating patients in the importance of dental health and the prevention of periodontal disease and dental decay. She works hard to provide a comfortable experience for all including the extremely nervous. Her time is divided between a number of practices, with previous experience working at an implant clinic in central London.
Together with our team of fully qualified nurses and receptionists we are now able to provide almost all forms of Dentistry at the practice without having to refer out for treatment. All of our staff undergo Continuing Professional Development through regular courses.
